Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using SplitBear ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

SplitBear is a mobile application developed by Bear and Eddy that helps users track and split shared expenses with friends, family, and groups. The App provides tools for recording expenses, calculating balances, and suggesting settlements.

User Accounts

SplitBear can be used anonymously without creating an account. You may optionally link your Apple ID to enable features like cloud sync for shared groups. We do not require or store email addresses, passwords, or other personal account information beyond what Apple provides through Sign in with Apple.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use SplitBear only for its intended purpose of tracking and splitting expenses. You may not:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Share invite codes publicly or use them for spam

Financial Information Disclaimer

SplitBear is an informational tool for tracking shared expenses. It does not process payments, transfer money, or provide financial advice. All calculations are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. SplitBear is not a financial institution and does not handle any monetary transactions.

Data and Privacy

Your use of SplitBear is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle (and don't collect) your data. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions

SplitBear offers a free tier with all features and up to 10 expenses per group. SplitBear Pro is available as a subscription:

• Monthly: $3.99/month
• Yearly: $34.99/year

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and managed by the App Store. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings under Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

Prices may change with notice. Any price changes will apply to the next billing cycle after the change.

Intellectual Property

SplitBear, including its design, code, branding, and content, is the intellectual property of Bear and Eddy. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

SplitBear is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. You use the App at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bear and Eddy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
